Long Road to Recovery

Today we had to anaesthetise Eugi once again to reassess his wound. We moved him back to his den quite a few weeks ago confident that his wounds were looking good. Sadly he was back in hospital in less than week as one of the wounds was starting to open again. Since then we've been monitoring him and the wound very carefully. All seemed to be going well until Friday :(

Bears and wounds don't mix!! He's made it bigger by licking and possibly clawing at it. Resuturing isn't really the best option so we have decided to treat it as an open wound. He has a long and slow recovery ahead and will be in hospital for quite some time to come.
