...neighbour D's wood shed stacked with perfect size wood for her Metters Stove an Australian institution since 1891 ( and for those in the northern hemisphere similar to an AGA)
Not only for cooking the most amazing scones and slow roasts in winter the stove is D's heating in her kitchen and no doubt radiating into the rest of her solid house in our street.
D is 90 and until this season has chopped and stacked her three tonnes of wood each year but after a tumble has now been told NOT to chop anymore...which is making her a tad cranky! but she is still stacking in her own particular way.

Troops are rallying and hopefully by the start of the season the shed will be full.
