Tiny Tuesday - Love from Romania

This was Janet's helpful suggestion for today's theme (and probably a reminder that a certain day is about due). When Janet was teaching - a life long long ago in a galaxy far far away - she once went over to Romania on a teacher exchange, spending a week in what was an entirely different life. 

Things have changed markedly since the post-Ceaușescu, pre-EU years, but when Janet was there the country was even more divided than we are, with opulent marble palaces and ox-carts in the streets. I know she enjoyed the visit but was glad to come home!

Anyhow, this came back with her. It's been a quieter day today. With Ciara dwindling, but with Dennis building for the weekend it's still too cold to take the bike out despite the sunshine. Council meeting this evening, with another application for another 250 houses...
