Porridge thief

Our topic this term is traditional tales and this week it is Goldilocks and the three bears, it also coincides with both teachers having an observation this week.

The first observation of B was today (N will do the follow up lesson on Thursday). The children arrived back from big sing to be told something had happened in the classroom. A crime scene had been set up and they had to look for clues. Quickly spotting the lock of hair and ‘G’ necklace, the children were absolutely enthralled with the whole experience and then when they watched the ‘CCTV’ of the culprit in action (I filmed N last week in black and white) they couldn’t believe their eyes and have watched the clip several times today and told every adult they possibly could about Goldilocks messing up our classroom. Just a wonderful reaction that went beyond what we were expecting.

The crime scene will stay in place until the ‘police’ can come on Thursday and in the afternoon the culprit will be questioned by the children.

Mr C and I are venturing off to quiz this evening, first time this year.
