Cheating

I have hired a bike for a few days to do some mountain climbs. I was here last year and the scenery is so spectacular that it deserved a revisit. The thing is, though, that this time it's an e-bike which gives me a helping push all the way up to the top. 

I felt embarrassed passing all the proper cyclists and found myself apologising as I whizzed by. But what a lovely thing it is to have an electric push. You still have to pedal so it's not a total cop out though.

Don't tell my cycling club chums or I'll never hear the end of it.
