Art with Lynne!

Well it has been an interesting and rather busy couple of days here at Big Hill!

Yesterday, Lynne and Ivor were due to arrive, from Toronto, to Sydney, around 2.30 pm....their plane was delayed by a few hours in Halifax, so they ended up having to drive to our place, about an hour away, in a horrendous snow storm!   poor folks, not only  had been traveling all day, then having to drive a new car, on very unfamiliar roads, in the dark, in a snow storm!!!   When they finally did find us...that's a whole other story.....they couldn't get the car up the hill, even altho it was 4 x 4!  Terry headed down the hill in the plow truck, plowing as he went, we had by this time, received over a foot of snow.....and he got them unstuck, plowed the road ahead of them (3 Km) and by 9 pm they arrived.   Finally we sat down to quiche and wine and lots of laughter!

This morning i had to prepare the Spruce cabin for the new guests....Terry had a lot of plowing to do but thankfully it was a bright and somewhat sunny day!   Took me nearly 2 hours to clean and prepare the cabin, after which i was pretty exhausted...nap time.

Then after some lunch...and another little nap (all of us), Lynne and i set up to do some art!!!   I just purchased a thing called the Gelli Printing Pad....and so i spent some time exploring the possibilities.   Lynne got herself immersed in some water colour painting....now it's time to make soup.  Ivor has offered to help....then it's a nice quiet evening for all of us!
