Island Wall, Whitstable
I took the Panasonic to Whitstable this afternoon with the intention of taking a few shots of this forever fascinating coastline.
It was mighty cold with a driving north north westerly creating a grey angry chop which with the sun low in the sky created a hard, bright light.
We walked with the wind behind us for three miles towards Tankerton through Whitstable, past the harbour where the boats were bobbing quite markedly even in the shelter.
Turning around into the teeth of the Gale was hard work, especially the first mile. After that we found a bit of shelter along Island Wall behind the seafront walking past many quaint, expensive looking properties.
In the end it was not the characterful sea, the sunset or the harbour that got the vote, nor was it from the Panasonic. It was the shot of the golden buildings along Island Wall with the iPhone that won out.
