Cauld Kale
Had to resort to the garden today for something to blip. I have kale growing (does that mean I have a kaleyard?) & as most Scots know, its one of the hardiest veg you can grow. It has to be in our climate!
It is also the subject of an old Scots saying: cauld kale het up. Literally its 'cold kale heated up' but is used to describe something which has been re-hashed & is presented as new when it isn't.
In the case of my kale, the likelihood of it being 'het up' in the near future is vanishingly small. However, I did like the way it formed mounds which were then covered in snow. Best I could do today folks!
