i was sloooowly getting nice and close to this chap (not sure if it's this chap or not) when two blokes and a dog stomped along the path and he skittered off up the tree and out of range :-( close enough for now.

i'll save the damp daisies and the sprouting trees for another day - they'll look better in the sunshine anyway (big hint to anyone out there with control of the weather!)
