Promises & Allegations

It was a long day. 

Work was followed by a party meeting in the evening, with your long suffering Blipper in the chair. 

Feelings are still running high about the party's suspension of our local candidate in the middle of the December election campaign. Of course he was elected anyway, which has exacerbated the issue.

Then we have to start planning from the May 2021 Scottish Parliament elections.

Before that we have (allegedly)  the mysterious and elusive independence referendum, with many last night concerned about the (alleged) lack of backbone amongst the party leadership. 

Added to that is the impending trial of the last party leader, and speculation about the possible fallout for the current leadership. 

I got home about 9.30pm, stressed and exhausted. Some time in bed reading my book was the best therapy available (assuming the cocktail cabinet was excluded.)
