Dreary

Today I woke up at 5.30 and I knew it was one of those days that it wasn't even worth trying to get to sleep again. Leaving Thea at home to do her sykpe call, I left the house at 7.30 in reasonably bright weather. I was about 5 mins into my cycle when the light changed and it was obvious that some dramatic weather was about to hit. The rest of my journey was icy rain, hail and sleet. Just miserable.

I tried to cheer up but I think that the combination of last night's meeting plus not enough sleep plus the cold and grey weather meant that it was just a bit of a grumpy day. 

Thankfully, the ride home was a bit more pleasant and I was nursing a glass of wine fairly swiftly upon my arrival.
