The Highland Boundary Fault

View along Conic Hill above the Island of Inchmurrin on Loch Lomond this afternoon. On the left of the hill is the Highlands and on the right the Lowlands.  The geological fault runs from Stonehaven in the east to Helensburgh then Arran in the west.
