Low Taggleshaw and beyond
I went for a run the long way round to Gurnal Dubs, via Low Taggleshaw. The photo shows the boundary stone of 4 acres which was "awarded in perpetuity to the parish of Strickland Roger in 1838 for the inhabitants of that and neighbouring parishes for recreation and exercise". It was certainly exercise, going uphill into an icy wind, but the views over to the snowy tops of the Howgills were good.
