Snail Post

As opposed to 'snail mail'. At Dingieshowe I noticed a short signpost which these garden snails have chosen to hibernate in. I walked from Lighthouse Corners to Barns of Ayre, along to Point of Ayre, then back along the shore path by Newark Bay. At one point I came across a couple who were retrieving sandbags that the storm had scattered on the shore. I gave them a hand and shifted some bags- pretty heavy when wet! The woman showed me a short length of red deer antler that she had just found. It had signs of working, possibly part of a Neolithic tool!
