Smarter

I have spent much of the day in this fine building. It is Macclesfield Town Hall (so now the responsibility of Cheshire East Council). An all day event on being “smarter” in my line of work. Well organised, good speakers, and thought provoking.

My first visit to Macclesfield town centre, my previous knowledge of Macc (as the locals call it) is travelling around the ring road heading for the hills

There are two fabulous buildings here, from my brief walk around before the event (so I may be missing others). The classical Town Hall. And the adjoining church of St Michael and All Angels. The gilded saint sits atop the entrance gate. With a rather unhappy Sun (extra).
