against all odds...

...this teeny Quenda (southern brown bandicoot) jaw... and yes that is a grain of rice!... has survived crunching boots, snuffling noses of cats and dogs and inquisitive beaks of birds shuffling through leaves and twigs.
This morning there it was!
Right on our walking track and spotted with these 'geologist eyes' (ie focused on the ground).
What a find and managed to carry it home in one piece as well.
