Bird feeders

Today's the day …………………….. to look as if you don't care

Mr Pheasant would have given anything to have good peck at the seed in the bird feeders.

He did have a half-hearted try when no-one was looking - but it's hard when you're pheasant-sized and the food is hanging off a thin pole, just too high above your head. So he strutted about for a bit with the occasional peck at the ground and then he walked straight past with his beak in the air.

It's quite unrepeatable what Mrs Chaffinch shouted after him ………………….
