Preparing to land

At Bremen, Germany.

. We (that is, my friend J and) I took the train from Stroud to Stansted via Central London, and arrived without incident. In fact, the whole journey went well, including the flight, and my friend Kim and her daughter M met us at at Bremen, and took us to their house close to the city centre.

This is a return visit for me: I was here last year, in February, for the Bremen Samba Carnival, which is also the purpose of this year's visit. It starts on Friday. The theme for this year is "high on love".

Aside: we didn't see many people in London or Stansted wearing face masks. I expect we'll see more of the carnival-type masks in Bremen.
