First shoots?

Despite the cold weather, our box plants that have appeared dead all year have decided that they will sprout some green shoots despite their icy covering!!

Could decide between the box or this. Decided on the box! I hope the latter doesn't bring down the gutter!

School happened as normal today and the ice is melting happily :-)
