Entry 829 - Drama on the farm

My Mum went to the farm today and found our oldest horse, Jack, on the floor laid in the snow taking his last breaths. They quickly cleared the snow around him and put straw down and put extra coats over him to warm him up and he managed to get up.

Here you can see (L) Jill and Mum talking with the vet about the options which included putting him to sleep. They agreed on pain relief so if he falls again he can get up and also put some supplements in his feed to add some weight on him. (R) Mum, Jill, Guy and Liz talk about what has happened in the tack room.
