The war against plastic.

Another little victory in the war against waste plastic.

This is one of Mrs. K’s Christmas presents. It is a recycled plastic raised bed for growing vegetables. It locks up plastic which might otherwise have ended up in the sea or in landfill.

It was put together and filled with soil this morning. It replaces one of her four wooden ones which had rotted away.

I should point out that the soil in our garden is about three inches deep on top of limestone rock and is hopeless for growing potatoes or carrots.
