It's been a bit of a cold, dark, nothingy type day weather-wise.  I guess it's saving itself up for the big one, Storm Dennis, due over the weekend.

Undeterred, we drove out to Packwood House after my blood test, for coffee and lunch at their excellent cafe.  We had a nice table by the window and hunkered down for an hour or so before going on a short walk by the lake.

The water was choppy and the coots were struggling a little to get to the other side of the lake.  See extra.

I think the main picture sums up the day, this is Ann, pretty in pink, wrapped up against the cold wind as we walk back towards the house.
