Barkbooth Lot Nature Reserve

When I saw the Cumbria Wildlife Trust was having a work day at a very local nature reserve I persuaded Mr P that we  should go and help. Our job was to remove hawthorn scrub/ re-growth on the open fell which we did enthusiastically until it started to rain in earnest. Then we went to find Jo here,  the leader,  to hand in our tools and see what he was up to - mending a gate with Ian who had been roped in to help. Ian will not be allowed home til the gate is fixed, luckily he had good waterproofs.  Mr P and I went and ate our sandwiches in the car.
