A day in Cambridge with my best friends

A nice lie in until 7, and then was up and ready to leave at 8.40. Kisses goodbye to my Valentine (that’s Jon, in case you were wondering!) and got on the road to Cambridge.

Meanwhile, Henry was picked up by his driving instructor for his driving test this morning.

I arrived at Karen’s and Joanne had already arrived. We chatted, drank tea and then celebrated (bottom left photo) when the news came in that he had passed his driving test!!! I was so pleased. So well done Henry, we are all so proud!

We drove in to Cambridge and had a lovely few hours chatting and visiting all the touristy shops, and browsing the historic city centre. We then walked to Pizza Express and enjoyed two more hours of catch up and reminiscing.

Now back at Karen’s;one bottle of Prosecco down, and on to our second!

Lovely company, lovely day in Cambridge and lovely happy news from my boy. So all in all, a lovely day!
