The Hen’s Party

Today we had the pre-wedding party for Helen, organised by her bridesmaid, Julia, and attended by her future mother and sister-in-law and her five good friends from school.
First lunch in a swish restaurant on the water at Chowder Bay followed by a lesson at Sydney Chocolate School.
Outside the school is a nice grassy park overlooking the water. We were worried it was going to rain but the sun came out and from 6 till 8 pm we sat on picnic rugs consuming more wine and cheese.
Then a thunderstorm commenced but it was time to finish up anyway.
The rest of them set out nightclubbing but Bec and I drove home to the mountains.
Meanwhile John and Graham have been at Omar’s bucks party. They are heading home separately, somewhat later than us, and possibly worse for wear.
