Unexpected good attendance at the church coffee morning despite the weather forecast. I took a few shots of Tete a Tete’s just starting to open in the church garden during a lull in the rain.
Back home looking at ours, which are well in bud but not open yet, I spotted this. My regular Iris Reticulata aren’t visible yet and they are a dark blue/purple colour. This one obviously is not so I’m wondering if it is the variety ‘Clairette’ bought several years ago at Burton Agnes Hall whilst visiting the renowned snowdrops. They never returned in the subsequent years after planting but I think this may well be one! Hooray maybe more will appear next year!

We have to go out this afternoon. Things to collect at both Guiseley and Ilkley M & S ( a mistake should have been both ordered for Ilkley) but we are going anyway to see ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’. Couldn’t fit it in any other time with a full on panto schedule next week.
Hopefully we will be able to get home afterwards as Storm Dennis does it’s worst! Take care everyone in the UK!
