Chrysanthemum.
The usual Saturday at the Lodge prepping for the guests. Well not quite average as Storm Dennis had arrived and it was blowing the proverbial hooley and lashing it down.
By mid afternoon we were home and hoping for things to not get any worse. Around about the time the light was going the garden started to fill with water. It wasn't clear at first if it was just saturated ground or the flood we are prone to. By 7:30 it was clear that it was flooding. So on with the full wet weather gear grab a rake and trudge into next doors garden. From there I can reach the grid and using the rake remove a barrowload or soof twigs and vegetation. Within half an hour the garden was dry.
