Valentine's Day

No bunches of over-priced and scentless red roses for us on Valentine's Day! Instead we  went to a local garden centre and chose yet another beautiful hellebore, 'Molly's White', one of the Rodney Davey Marbled Group which has beautifully patterned foliage. The white flowers gradually turn to green with age, and I especially liked the contrasting pinkish stigmas, surrounded by a crown of golden anthers. It'll perfectly balance one of last year's hellebore plants, which is blooming profusely in the front garden.
