Waiting it out

Several blackbirds and some chaffinches took shelter in the trees in the garden and sat all day waiting for the snow to pass. Every time it eased they made a dash for the feeders to get a little food and then back to the trees when the snow became heavy again.

We worked from home today so were cosy and warm and did not have to venture out into the traffic. Seems like there is a bit more to come and we will have to see how things are in the morning when we wake up.
