The rains came

No need to make your way into this fishing lake near Romsey today, even if you could navigate the flooded track in . . . With the River Blackwater overflowing its banks this has brought the water level right up to roadside and flooded the approach to the fishery.
It is only one instance of flooding I came across in my Sunday morning outing for coffee, the Sunday papers and shopping. In one place, the level of another lake had risen sufficiently to pour flood waters on to the main road.

In total, quite a stormy weekend, but as someone remarked in the supermarket, at least the daffodils are in flower which has to be a sure sign that Spring is in fact only a moment or two away!
