Shotover

I have no idea if this river was actually “shot” over but it was  definitely in full tilt when we flew over it this morning and landed. Tourists get jet boat rides up and down this and there has been a bit of water falling in the alps which would have added to the excitement for jetting this “stream”.
If you look in large you will see the road bridge where you come to Queenstown from the North.
There was a bit of a welcome thingie at the Airport Cafe this afternoon where we were invited to meet the after Monday Walkers’s but thanks to the road works on the main road in it took ages to get there. The lake is still lapping the top of the local wharf but its very fine and 26+ which is a bit of a shock to us after a 4 AM start this morning..We didn’t need to start then but The Bossess enjoyed the company at the airport I’m sure.
