South Queensferry
South Queensferry is a village near Edinburgh. It started off as the southern end of the route of the "Queen's Ferry" that crossed the River Forth. The ferry started in the reign of Queen Margaret, in the late 11th century, and ran until 1964, when the new Forth Road Bridge opened.
The historic main street of South Queensferry is no stranger to weather. Today's murky squalls are as nothing to some of the more "exciting" weather that the village has seen, but they were still worth a snap!
