snowy London green
Heavy and unrelenting snow today put paid to our plans to meet up with my son and his family.
I was very disappointed not to see my little grandson.
Instead we went for a stroll in the snow. We found this green where I had played as a child, the infant school I went to, the house my grandparents lived for most of their married lives and where my Dad grew up. And we found the house my family lived in till I was six, where my brother and sister were born. All a few minutes walk from where my daughter now lives and all the more remarkable because our whole family left London when I was ten and have hardly ever returned.
The girl loves it here and seems very settled and comfortable.
Full circle.
