Mallards
After the overnight rain our pond was enormous and the marsh was flooded more than I have seen it in a long time; there is no risk of flooding to the house.
So today’s picture is of four Mallards on part of our pond, three males and one female, she is difficult to see.
We have not had any wind damage other than a few twigs broken from the fruit trees in the orchard; the dead tree opposite the house remains in the same position, held up by a living tree.
A productive day doing various indoor jobs. The temperature blanket is up-to-date and the back of the waistcoat in I am knitting has passed the armhole shaping and heading towards the shoulder shaping.
The temperature at GMT noon was eight degrees Celsius.
