The not so tranquil Mole

The normally gentle River Mole is completely transformed into a broiling torrent. The normal route of the river is in the centre and there the stream was turbulent. It was quieter at the edges, but the river was many times it’s normal width. Just downstream in Leatherhead there were main roads closed necessitating diversions. There were no trains running this morning because of a blocked line. So whilst we were nowhere near as badly affected by storm Dennis as the poor folk elsewhere, we have had our excitement.
