Stang End

We managed to get the teenagers out of the house at the crack of midday and headed to Elterwater. The walk was relatively easy, and took in Skelwith Force, Low Colwith and High Hacket. We were surrounded by the stunning Langdale Pikes. We ended with a pint and much need cheesy chips at The Britannia Inn at Elterwater. The weather was kind to us and it wasn’t until we were safely ensconced in the pub next to a roaring fire that the heavens opened. Back to the cottage for a rest and dinner in tonight.
Extra is Alice, halfway round her first ever Lake District walk and with some colour in her cheeks I just had to record for posterity!
