Local wildlife

A young ibex I spotted in the company of its mother as we were leaving Cantarrijan beach this afternoon. In contrast to yesterday it was a glorious day, so it had to be done; we put together a quick picnic, headed there for lunch, and ended up staying till six. I had a swim! Admittedly brief, but it's the earliest in the year I've ever been in the sea. It was beautifully calm, but felt very chilly. I dare say it was 16 or 17 C, but the contrast with the air temperature was a bit shocking. To me anyway, it didn't seem to bother a number of Germans and Scandinavians. Such a lovely relaxing afternoon.
