A Great Day for a Day Off
Today is President's Day here in the US...originally know as Washington's Birthday, honoring George Washington - the first US President. In its current iteration it honors all US presidents and is a federal holiday.
That's all in saying that many people, including students and my husband, had the day off. It was a foggy and cold morning, with promises of a sunny afternoon. So we took advantage of the clear-ish weather to go for another walk at the Arboretum. We walked down to the Winter Garden - which was designed specifically for winter interest. There were some beautiful camellias and hellebores, but the light was odd and my photos were not successful.
This afternoon I managed to spend a bit of time in the garden this afternoon...alas, we had rain showers on and off and I finally gave up. But, during a sun break I did manage to catch a couple of photos of the crocus...very drippy, and my current obsession. Hope they're not getting too boring :-)
So off I went to my computer to catch up on various projects. Hope you've had a marvelous start to your week!
