BUTTONHOLED

Actually it's not a buttonhole just one of my Valentine's flowers.  This actually a white Pink I believe as I understand that carnations have much larger blooms, I am never sure but they belong to the same family and are still delightful anyway.

I'm a lot better today - just a temporary "blip" Ithink.  

Hubby wanted to go to Barrow today for food shopping plus other things.  He got the car off the drive then it just died!!!  The Battery was totally flat.  Called the AA and it was a great service.  Within an hour they had called the Furness Car Repair service, they'd re-juiced the batttery and Hubby was on his way to Barrow.

I then went off of Oxenholme to pick up G.  Went out into grey weather.  Train arrived only a few minutes late, but apparently they had  no drinks on board at all!!!  More of an issue for those on a longer journey.  Whilst waiting an announcement was made the the TransPennine service from Edinburgh to Manchester Airport was cancelled due to LACK OF STAFF!!!  Again.  This has been a regular occurrence for some time apparently.  Time they also had their franchise stripped I think!!!

Anyway G arrived safely.  Whilst heading for Low Sizergh Barn we through both torrential rain and a hailstorm, only briefly though.  Had a delicious quiche in Low Sizergh Barn then came home.  He will be staying with us for a few weeks.

Hope you are all well.  Please do stay safe out there.  The roads around here seem to be pretty much OK the Meathop Road in Grange to the Golf Club is still impassable (not up onto the main road any more though).  The golf club does flood regularly but not usually out on to the road.
