Thought it was colder ...
So we get rid of the gales and the torrential rain and get ... some sun and some hail and snow on the hills again. It's still winter, whatever yesterday's flowers said ...
Already I know how the rest of this day will go, with nary a photo-opp in it: I'm going to cook, eat, watch some telly, and go out to choir. I like the routine of a Tuesday; perhaps it reminds me of being at work, when I didn't have choices. Though the fact that there was no choice about when to visit the loo still rankles ...
And to be honest I've not done much today. A quick trot round doing small, necessary things - last word with the printer about the cover spec, giving the "make it so" for the print run to begin; consultation with the Post Office about the cost of mailing the book when it's done; a quick visit to the optician to get the nose pads on my reading specs changed (old ones suddenly hurt) - and making the easy decision that no, we wouldn't now go for a walk because it's just trying having to hide inside hoods every ten minutes.
It strikes me, however, that I'm going to miss the fiddling with the poems and the layout. I have a feeling I'm going to have to start writing again ...
