Battered Reeds

Well would you ever? Two sunrises of note on consecutive days!  As many of the low lying areas in the West Midlands cope with the floods, it was a pleasure to be out first thing, as a colourful dawn developed.

It is quite shocking to realise the extent of the flooding across the country.  Once in a hundred year weather events seem to be occurring weekly at the moment.  The reports across the news channels resonate with stories that these events are unprecedented in recent memory.  Surely this is evidence to support the argument that we are causing this through our actions.  The worrying thing is that we are only now beginning to see the realisation dawning on those in power that something must be done (and sadly not everyone is persuaded).  Let's hope it's not too late.
