Floors

Like most things maritime, even when you recognise the name it doesn’t mean what you thought!
The floors are timbers fixed to the top of the keel and shaped to fit the hull planking. The soleboards or duck boards rest on the floors and spread the load evenly to the hull. I have fitted four, 6 to go.
On the bottom of the boat you can see two old stalwart tools, the Black and Decker jigsaw that has a rotating blade so you can cut sideways and backwards- ideal for tight corners and Baby Bosch a tiny battery drill, single speed, keyed Chuck and the batteries are in the handle. Only drawback is it takes 12 hours to charge! Once again great for tight spaces.
