Birthday drinkies.

Now, i knew my father-in-law's birthday was coming up and usually it's not a big thing, we give him a card and a wee pressie...............done.

OH announced this morning that it is tomorrow (which i knew but presumed he had something organised, he's his dad not mine!) and it is his 80th.

80 years old!!!!! Why didn't i know before today - honestly, men!

So i suggested we take him out for a few drinks as he was mentioning when we saw him recently that he hadn't been out for a drink with anyone for over 2 years (how guilty do i feel!)

So we battered through the sleet and found a cozy pub which he loves.

He said he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Had a great pint and a good chat with his son & daughter-in-law, what more can a 80 year old need.

Now OH tells me it's his mother's 70th on sunday coming. Here we go again!!!
