A jewel among the thorns

Well they are not strictly thorns, but you get the picture. The jewel is some kind of lens flare, but never mind the technicalities... it symbolises a tiny gem of kindness in what can sometimes feel like, be perceived as, or indeed actually be, a hostile landscape.

RIP Caroline, so tragic.

My random act of kindness today was to post a box of small thoughtful things to my daughter in London, so she will get a nice surprise in the post tomorrow. I have also done my bit in helping keep the Post Office solvent as it turned out to be on the weighty side!
