Deep Snow
Hi everyone!
Unfortunately, even though I woke up to a snow filled street, school was still on. It was a pretty average day overall in school. We watched the weather report in geography. Something about Heathrow came on, and the teacher said "Sh, Steven will like this!". She knows me so well :)
Although it had been snowing all day down at school, none of it was lying on the road until the very end of the day. On the way home however, things changed dramatically. The roads got more and more snow covered and slippery as the bus made its way up through Mayfield. By the time I got off at my stop, it was like a completely different place.
The roads were frozen, the pavements were covered in snow so deep that it got in my shoes and made the bottom quarter of my trousers soaking, and it was hard to see because it was snowing so heavily. It had been going non-stop all day, so hopefully school may shut tomorrow! I doubt it however, because as I have said before, we live up hill and, although I only live a couple of miles from school, the weather can be dramatically different.
So, taking advantage of this weather, me and craig decided to go and see Declan. We had a snowball fight with him and his brother, then we ended up just rolling about and sliding down hills. All in all, it was a very fun day, although it was so weird how different the weather was only a couple of miles apart.
Have a great Tuesday!
Steven :)
