The Patient

While showing off to an arriving guest yesterday, Hendricks attempted to dash out into the garden, caught his side on the sharp edge of the draught excluder and ended up with a nasty gash. An emergency trip to the vets ensued - lots of stitches required (with sedation). We got him home late afternoon, and he's gone from decidedly out of sorts last night to milking it today. Back to the vets tomorrow to have the wound examined, and probably confirmation of a 10 day ban on exercise (even walkies on the lead!) to give it the chance to heal. Someone is going to go stir crazy...
