Nick too

Yesterday was spent interviewing for a new developer in my new area. Weird interviewing people you already know (two of the applicants).

Hopefully we will end up with two good people.

Today was busy. Last day before the strike and my last day in IT. It was a bit like the last day before a holiday in that I was trying to clear the decks.

And, turning up for a meeting in IT, I had a “surprise” presentation. The surprise was lessened by three people apologising in advance for not being able to make it!

My boss, another Nick, (right) gave a nice speech and a card. And a gift card for the city centre. And, having a bit of a warning, I gave a speech which I, at least, thought was amusing.

As I explained, it’s not the systems or the processes that I’ll miss. It’s the stationery.
