New Plymouth Coastal Walkway

New Plymouth has surprised me. I expected a grimy port. The port is just by the chimney well away from the town which is a well laid out grid. Inland is Mount Taranaki or Mount Egmont which I hope to go to tomorrow. The Walkway is a wooden boardwalk about 11km long that runs close to the sea.
It's very hot today so it was well used by walkers, cyclists and roller skaters.
