Wet Hamerkop at Chester Zoo

More rain today so, in between jobs,  I went over to the zoo for a blip. It was pretty unpleasant weather and I was only there for about 20 minutes. I had intended photographing the meerkats but they were not to be seen and the rhinos were in their hide where it was too dark to get a good picture. This hamerkop was outside but looked like he wished he had stayed inside.. 

It can't have been much fun for the families there today. It must have cost a fortune to get in and it certainly wasn't a pleasant day to wander around. I'm glad I'm a member and can come and go easily.
