Fundraising

Outside of work, the last few days have largely been about setting up a giving page for a sponsored walk my mum and I are undertaking in April.

We're walking the West Island Way, a long distance route across the Isle of Bute, in memory of my dad and to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Scotland. My dad passed away last year, not long after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a situation that is sadly not uncommon as pancreatic cancer remains difficult to identify and hard to treat, with late diagnosis common. Therefore my mum and I are walking in April, in the hope that we can raise money for Scotland's pancreatic cancer charity but also as as a way to remember my dear dad.
